WYSC’s Covid Policy

Revised & Updated Indoor Covid Policy: Revised on: 12/3/2020

  • All players must wear a mask entering and exiting the gym and keep mask on unless they are actively playing or training.
  • All players will have their temperature checked with a no-touch thermometer by WYSC staff or their Coach prior to stepping on the court. Anyone with a fever of 100.4 or higher will not be able to participate and will need to leave the gym.
  • All players and parents should be using the hand sanitizer at on the table just inside the front doors while entering and exiting our facility.
  • Players must bring their own equipment and balls. Players should not be sharing equipment.
  • Water fountains are temporarily shut down for the foreseeable future; players need to come to the gym prepared with their own water bottles. Water bottles are not to be shared between players.
  • Players are to place their personal belongings/water bottles on the black appropriately social distanced X's on the far side of the court or in a chair that is socially distanced from other player's belongings.
  • Restrooms will be closed for basketball games. We strongly encourage that you and your child use the restroom before entering our facility.
  • No Parents or spectators are allowed in the gym during Clinics or Practices.
  • One parent per player will be allowed to be in the gym during games only and must wear a mask & socially distance the entire time they are in the facility.

The safety of our players, families, and community is our top priority for WYSC. To help keep everyone safe WYSC has expanded our Covid Policy.

Anyone who is sick or has possibly been in contact with anyone who has, or might have, Covid is not allowed to attend any practices or games for two weeks after suspected exposure. If a player has tested positive for Covid, WYSC must be informed immediately. In addition, the player will not be allowed to return to practice or games until WYSC is provided with a note from a doctor stating they are clear or negative of Covid.

Practices requirements for all programs:

  1. Before each practice starts, Coach will ask players the following questions:
  2. Have you been running a fever of 100.4 or higher?
  3. Are you experiencing shortness of breath, cough, chills, headache, sore throat, loss of taste/smell, and muscle pains?
  4. Are you ill, or have you been ill over the last 14 days?
  5. Have you been in contact with anyone who has had Covid-19 over the past 14 days?
  6. Players are expected to use hand sanitizer before they enter the field/courts and when they leave.
  7. Only players are allowed on the fields/courts. Parents can watch from outside the courts or along the outside of the fields. If parents decide to stay and watch practice, they will have to stand 10 feet apart. The soccer fields have been marked with large X’s to help with this requirement.
  8. Any spectator who is staying on the fields or around the courts will be required to wear a mask. Anyone waiting in a car or walking the complex on the walking paths is not required to wear a mask.
  9. Players are required to place personal items on the different X’s around the field/courts.
  10. Players are not allowed to share water bottles.

Recreational Soccer and Volleyball Game Day requirements:

  • All spectators must wear a mask when entering and exiting, and while watching games.
